Microblading / Permanent Make Up

Bespoke, natural and tailored to you

Jemma is highly qualified in microblading and the digital method of permanent make up.

Trained by the best in the industry Karen Betts (KbPro) and her team. Qualified in the two methods of permanent make up Jemma can assess your skin to determine which technique is best for you.

Permanent make up is a brilliant treatment for a multitude of people - From those who find it difficult to apply their own make up (due to vision or skill), have gaps in their brows, have hair loss (due to medical conditions or chemotherapy), are physically active wanting to look like they have make up on in the gym or pool and those who just want to save time and wake up feeling and looking good.

Jemma offers treatments for the full face including:

Eyebrows

  •  Hairstroke brows -very natural with the immitation of hairs on the skin.

  •  Ombre brows- soft shading across the brow to immitate make up.

  •  Combination brows - a natural mix of the hairstroke and ombre make up look. This style is great for a soft make up look.

Lips

  • Lip blush - a subtle lip line and a light blushing of colour on the lips.

  • Lip line redefined - to correct an aging lipline or correction of unevenness.

  • Lip full colour - a full lipstick effect for the lips.

All of these treatments can help with a naturally uneven lipline and or loss of colour to the lip due to age or damage. Colour selection is your own personal choice.

Eyes

  • Eyelash Enhancement - a very natural subtle treatment but has amazing results to help frame the eye and make your lashes look thicker.

  • Eyeliner - creates a tailored eyeliner either soft and smoky or sleek and structured to enhance the eyes and takes away the need for applying eyeliner. Smudge free make up ... Yay !

Eyeliner and enhancements will be bespoke to your natural eyeshape and clients own colour choice.

These treatments will be smudge free and waterproof so perfect for swimming and beach days.

A full consultation and patch test is needed prior to each treatment.

Jemma allocates 3 hours for your first session which is more than enough time but like she says "Perfection is not achieved in a rush". There will be enough time for you to discuss all your needs and she makes sure you are both 100% happy with colour and design before she commences the treatment. Two sessions are needed for all treatments.

FAQ

Helpful Information

What is the difference between the two methods, Microblading and Digital method?

The difference between the two methods is the tool used to deposit pigment into the upper dermis layer of the skin to create the illusion of brow hair. Microblading uses a disposable hand tool with super fine needles . Digital Machine method uses a pulsating disposable needle, also ultra fine to implant the pigment into the skin.

Both methods can create ultra fine hairstrokes and shading but not all skin types are suited to microblading. Jemma will assess your skin to decide what method she uses.

Does it hurt?

There is mild discomfort but most clients fall asleep while having the treatment! Jemma will ask you to pre numb your skin prior to arriving for your treatment to make the treatment comfortable. Full information given at the consultation.

How long does it last?

After your two sessions you can expect the pigment to last in your skin for a number of years. For Brows Blondes tend to need a colour boost every 9-12 months, Brunettes every 12-18 months.  Eyeliner and lip treatments can last up to 2 years but an annual colour boost is still recommended.

A colour boost is the yearly maintenance needed on the brows/eyes/lips to keep them looking at their best as ultimately pigment fades as it ages in the skin. To avoid pigment fade for a long as possible avoid excessive exposure to the sun and UV rays.

What is the aftercare?

Jemma will give you a full briefing on how to look after your amazing new brows, eyeliner and lip treatment. The main consideration is not to get them soaking wet for the first few weeks. Essentially you have to treat it like an open wound by not touching, picking, swimming and exercise that causes excessive sweating as they can all affect the healing of the skin. You need to avoid facial products containing fruit acids or glycolic acids. You can wash your face with a gentle cleanser and Jemma will give you brow shower covers in your aftercare pack. It is really easy to look after your new brows/eyeliner/lip treatment and Jemma is always at the end of the phone if you need to discuss your healing.
